Mehmet Kaplan bir edebiyat uzmanı bakışıyla dil üzerindeki görüşlerini çeşitli denemelerinde yansıtmıştır. Bu denemelerinde aynı zamanda Türkçenin problemlerini ele almış ve bu problemlere çözümler sunmuştur.
