Provincial newspapers which were published in the Ottoman Period were the official newspapers of their provinces. In other words they were local official newspapers. Provincial newspapers published abut managerial news which informed the public and also some news about the social life. Bosnia and Herzegovina provincial newspaper, like all the newspapers published in Sarajevo was not only a precursor of the local press but it was also like training school for the journalists.Provincial newspapers in periodicals occupy an important position in historiography sources and they are the most significant sources of the studies made in their publishing regions. In this study, the provincial newspaper of Bosnia and Herzegovina named “Bosnia” published in Bosnia and Herzegovina which became a province after the new province regulation made by Ottoman Empire in 1864 will be introduced briefly and a simplified sample of the first four issues will be examined.
