Çocuklarda Öykülemenin Gelişimi ve Dilin Değerlendirilmesinde Kullanımı

Çocukların kendini ifade etmek için en sık kullandığı sözel dili ifade biçimlerinden biri öykülerdir. Çocuklar, oldukça erken yaşlarda öykü anlatma becerilerini kazanmaya başlamaktadır. Öyküleme analizi bize çocukların, dil alanlarına ait bilgileri nasıl biraraya getirdiği hakkında bilgi sağlamaktadır. Öyküleme, çocuklardaki gelişimsel ilerlemeyi açık bir şekilde gösterebileceğinden sözel dil gelişimini değerlendirmek için bir araç olarak kullanılabilmektedir. Öyküler, günlük konuşmalardan daha karmaşık dil yapısına sahip olduğu için öyküleme gelişiminin değerlendirilmesi ile gelecekteki dil gelişimi yordanabilmektedir. Aynı zamanda erken dönem öyküleme becerisi, gelecekteki akademik becerilerin yordayıcısıdır. Bu yüzden öyküleme, dili öğrenme problemi olan tüm okul çağındaki çocuklarda müdahale hedefleri arasında yer almalıdır
