The Independent ve The Guardian Gazeteleri İnternet Sitelerinde Yer Alan Türkiye Turizm Yazılarına Yönelik Bir İçerik Analizi

The Independent gazetesinde 366, The Guardian gazetesindeyse 167 ve toplamda 533 adet gazete haberi incelenmiştir. Her ülkede bulunan tüketicilerin tercihlerinin diğerlerinden farklı olma ihtimalinden ötürü tanıtım faaliyetlerinde buna dikkat etmek önem taşımaktadır.

A Content of Analysis for Turkish Tourism in the Web Sites of The Independent and The Guardian Newspapers

In this study, it was aimed to analyze the news about the Turkey tourism, which is included in The Independent and The Guardian newspapers operating in England, the third country that sends the most tourists to Turkey. The news published between 2008 and 2012 has been included in the research and it has been tried to explain the current statistics whether the effect of the news published between these years on the choice of destination for English tourists. Within the scope of the research, "www.theguardian.com" and "www.independent.co.uk" internet sites have been given the keyword "Turkey Tourism" and these news have been reviewed. 366 news reviewed in The Independent newspaper, 167 news reviewed The Guardian newspapers and 533 newspapers in total. When compared to the number of British tourists coming to Turkey between 2008-2012 and the number of tourists in 2016, there is no significant difference in the positive direction as statistics shows that almost same number of tourists came from the previous period. The use of the news only in the target markets attracted tourists to Turkey will not be a reason for preference alone. It should be mainly used for television, cinema or publicity films that will be broadcasted in other media, both in terms of visuality and intelligence. It is important to pay more attention to this in promotional activities because the Internet must be more effectively utilized and the preferences of consumers in each country may be different from others
