In the article, firstly, the strategical value of Cyprus Island has been studied. Then, the reasons of increasing in value of Cyprus in Eastern Mediterranean has been examined. Separately, it has been pointed out that, the transportation of oil and natural gas of Caspian Sea region has increased the strategical value of Cyprus.While the strategical value of Cyprus increases, the Greek Administration in the Island has inclined towards armament. Greek Administration has tried to perform such a big armament effort with Greece, Russian Federation and Syria. The Greeks aim to pursue a containment policy against Turkey from west and south and deprive Turkish Cypriot of Turkey's support. Therefore, armament efforts towards this aim is in a disturbing character.The S-300 missiles is not only defensive arms. They can also be used with offensive aims.According to Turkish point of view, there is no difference between deployment of these missiles in Cyprus or Crete Island. Consequently, it can not be thought that Turkey will prefer one of these alternatives
