INTEGRATED ORDERING POLICIES OF INVENTORY AND AN EXAMPLE FOR TIRE COMPANIES

In today's competitive market conditions, the reduction of inventory costs is increasingly important for surviving enterprises. One of the most important cost items that can be reduced inventory costs. In this study, single vendor - multi buyer supply chain system relationship investigated. This approach provides a tremendous advantage to the seller but the buyer costs may increase. To balance this increase, the seller must make price discounts for buyers. In this research, a non-linear model used for determine minimum stock and system costs. This model applied on real data which were collected from Ankara area main tire vendor and his sub buyers. In case of application of the model used in this study, tire vendor can be provided to respond more quickly to the needs of sub-dealers. Also overall system cost and can also decrease has occurred.
