ÇALIŞANLARIN KURUMSAL SOSYAL SORUMLULUK ALGISININ İŞ TATMİNİ VE İŞTEN AYRILMA NİYETİNE ETKİSİ: GEMİ ACENTELERİNDE BİR UYGULAMA

Kurumsal sosyal sorumluluk (KSS) ile ilgili araştırmalar son yıllarda artmaya ve dikkat çekmeye başlamıştır. Yazında kurumsal sosyal sorumluluk ile ilgili çalışmalar incelendiğinde çoğunlukla müşteri davranışı, örgüt performansı ve örgütsel bağlılık üzerine etkileri ile ilgili araştırmalar yapıldığı belirlenmiştir. Çalışanların kurumsal sosyal sorumluluk algısının etkilerini ölçen araştırmaların ise örgütsel bağlılık üzerine yoğunlaştığı tespit edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada denizcilik işletmelerinden biri olan gemi acentelerinde çalışanların kurumsal sosyal sorumluluk algısının iş tatmini ve işten ayrılma niyeti üzerine etkilerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Dünyadaki malların yüzde 85’inden fazlasının deniz yolu ile taşındığı bilinmektedir. Bu sebeple denizyolu taşımacılığı uluslararası ticaretin can damarını oluşturmaktadır.

THE EFFECT OF EMPLOYEE PERCEPTIONS OF CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY ON JOB SATISFACTION AND TURNOVER INTENTION: A STUDY ON SHIP AGENCIES

Research on corporate social responsibility (CSR) has started to increase and attract attention in recent years. When the studies on corporate social responsibility in the literature are examined, it has been determined that research is mostly composed of the effects of customer behavior, organizational performance and organizational commitment. Studies that measure the effects of corporate social responsibility perception of employees have been determined to focus on organizational commitment. In this study, it is aimed to determine the effects of corporate social responsibility perception of ship agency employees on the job satisfaction and turnover intention. More than 85 percent of goods are transported by maritime transportation. Thus, it can be said that maritime transportation is the backbone of international trade. It is determined that this issue has not been investigated in the maritime transportation sector which is a service sector that carries out its operations in a labor intensive and competitive environment. The survey was applied to the employees of the companies that provide ship agency services in Turkey. As a result of the study, it was found out that the perception of corporate social responsibility had a positive effect on employees’ job satisfaction but had a negative effect on turnover intention.
